plenty, search the archives. there was a post just a few days ago called "do i really need quattro?" or something like that. check it out, i think it might be able to help. 98% of the guys on the forum are going to say go with quattro. best rated and simplest awd system on the planet and will save your *** in any adverse conditions. the extra couple hundred lbs added to the curb weight makes stock quattro vs stock fwd slightly slower but overall quattro will be your best bet.

 

depends on waht type of weather you are going to be using this vehicle.. you might think that if you dont get snow in your area or very little of it , that you can get away with FWD.. but we sometimes forget the days that we get RAIN ... AWD is your best friend in any type of weather...

AWD= Piece(or peace, depending on how you look at it ..lol) of mind

 

Awd is great I driven both in my model year in fact I just bought a 98 a4 front track for the car lot and on the drive home i thought performance isnt much better and handling is less then my quattro's. Go awd.

that is the dumbest title I have ever seen. If you cant tell the difference, you dont deserve quattro!.........jk

 

QWD, u can see the difference going in and out of turns. AWD is just better

 

AWD less power per wheel, better traction and handling.
FWD more power per wheel, worsent traction, okey handling.

Calculations:
lets take 200HP engine. 200 HP on the cranck.
on quatro the total power out is 160HP meaning each wheel gets 40HP on regular drive.
on front track power out on the wheel is 180HP meaning each wheel gets 90HP.

burning rubber easier on front track. also you will get extra MPG and higher top speed. Not to mention better 0-60 and acceleration.
on quatro you will get better cornering, easier to play in the snow. better safety. Cooler. and better of the line.
