GIAC
Im considering getting the GIAC chip and TT 710N Diverter valve. I have done a lot of searches, but I was wondering who paid what for the GIAC chip. A local shop told me $399 (i think) for the chip. I think its a good price. What is the life expectancy for a stock K03 diverter valve? If I just put the 710N diverter valve in (not chip) will I notice a difference? The shop guy told me I would, but Ive read that I wont. Please clarify these things thanks.
You wont notice a difference with the 710N if you are not chipped.
But if you do get chipped , I would recommend the 710N right away , dont use the stock valve while chipped.
The chip will make you boost about 15 PSI

the chip up's your boost, which the stock dv cant handle. the 710 simply keeps the higher boost
the stock dv can handle the stock boost, so the 170n can definatly handle it
the stock dv CANT handle the 15 psi of giac, so the 710n is necessray

that's a good price.... the shop i went to chiped it locally.... there are also flash programs out there for giac now... I was running my chip w/a modified computer where they sodered off my stock chip and put the giac chip in place, now i am running it w/the stock chip, flashed....I can now flash back to stock and race modes when ever
... would definatly recommend the flash program, but you will need the new DV.. mine boosts at 23-24psi
