GIAC 30v chip review: First Impressions
So my GIAC 30v chip arrived in the mail today. Quite an easy install. Unscrew the bolts of the plastic housing, lift it up, pull out the metal box (after you get that weird clip off), undo that one with the torsen bolts, exchange the chips and reinstall. First impression was, wow...my smooth 30v just got smoother. I noticed that the flat spot between like 2-3k rpms is a little less laggy feeling. But once I really got on it I noticed the biggest difference as you get near, hit, and exceed 5k rpms. It always felt like it pulled up high well, but now it's even better. It's def not the biggest difference. But noticeable. If you plan on keeping the car and just want a lil more fun then, sure go for it; but if you want real power...don't bother. Get a turbo Audi.
I'll add more after my commute to school tomorrow.

They're 300, but my Dad treated me to it at Waterfest (so we also got the discount) as an early b-day present I guess. IMO if it's your own money, and you have to buy it at full price....it probably isnt the best buy. Although I'm thinking about using the chip for awhile, then reinstalling the stock one to see if I can tell the difference goin back (maybe I'll notice the difference better then)
