GIAC and 710N

Well i've been searching for days now and i've gotten some great info... i'm finally looking to get chipped!!! with a GIAC... and also upgrade the dv to a 710N... just making sure thats the right choice.. from what i've heard its the way to go

Yeah man, they're both great parts. I myself went with the APR chip and the APR DV (The R1), and they work just fine. It's all the same though, the 007, 710N, and the R1 are great DV's, and the APR / GIAC / REVO chips are bomb diggity.

i've heard that the giac are better for b5s.. what would you suggest for dv?

For DV's, they're all pretty much the same. I just got my Forge 007 yesterday, and will put it in this weekend.

i've seen the forges are more expensive and i've seen seen people that were really happy with the 710N

710's are fine. Its just the heat that gets to them. The n is a little more durable. There are a handfull of people using 2 of them on a BT setup.

yeah GIAC is defintely your best bet for the b5. as for the dv, like i said, a 710n will suit your purposes fine. a 007 or r1 would be better but they also cost more

They are much more durable, thus the cost. you would never need to replace them since they will last far longer than the car. The 710 is still prone to failure.
