Me too (mine, not yours). I really like the 99.5 that I have, even though it has tiptronic. My son will be driving it, so that's why I haven't put the money, time and effort into upgrading it. I think the Neuspeed chip is plenty for a new driver. Later, after he has a few years under his belt, I think upgrading it will be a great father/son thing.

The 99.5 seems also to handle a little better than my 2001, or at least it feels more nimble. To do it again, I'd go with a 99.5 5 speed instead of the 2001.

LOL. "New" insanity. In my day, 16 year olds could drive 400 hp cars that handled like crap with no seat belts, air bags, etc. The drinking age (in Florida) was 18. Drunk driving was "normal".

We've come a looong way to making the roads in the US safer in the last 30 years. Some people say it's nuts for me to put my son is a nice car like an A4, but with quattro and air bags all around, I think it is a very smart thing to do.

well if you are going to get all the rest of the components might as well skip the K04 and just go right to BT you know you will want it eventually the K04 is nice and it has lost of torque but you will get tired of it and want more trust me been there done that haha

well for ju8st the regular file with the 5 bat FPR it will not add up to $2700 with all the extra's that you have there sure no problem but just a K04 software and 5 bar fpr that can be had for about $1500-$1600 if you piece it all togeather and you can always find used stuff and get it all for about $1000 if you look hard enough this is assuming you are doing the install yourself
the hammer file sounds more for me. if only going ko4 because i have a fwd and i dont want ungodly wheel spin. but if im going ko4 upgrade, im going all out purchasing all the compenents requried to give me top quality and peak power with this turbine.
