Is GIAC o.k. for a B6?
Just curious if there's any B6 owners out there that have GIAC chip?
I've just read over and over here on this forum that for the B6, the chip of choice is Revo, then APR, then GIAC.
However, there's no REVO dealer here, and I'm not a fan of the local APR dealer. Also, the place that does GIAC has a really great reputation.
So I'm torn, do I go APR with a dealer that I don't like? Or GIAC? Will there be that big of a difference?

i got apr n love it no problems. havent heard of anyone with the giac chip for a b6. if you don't like the apr service go with giac n tell us how it is. everyone one with a b5 swears by it. might as well try it.
everyone has one software company they prefer over another. The software is pretty similar though. I recently asked a bunch of people which they preferred and it was about a 50/50 split between GIAC & APR. I went withGIAC because thay had a saturday demo day and were doing flashes for a discount.
It probably may vary depending on your long term plans for the car (I dont believe the APR makes software forthe K04 with big injectors yet.
They both have trans issues with gear hunting when you bump up to the Stage1+ with the tip
I'd say go with the tuner that has the better service & reputation. You will need their advise / help later down the road (depending on how much you mod the car)

I've seen your sig - and that's one of the reasons for my question. So are you saying it's a definite 'no' on giac? From what I'm hearing from the others in this thread, there's not THAT much of a difference, so if the GIAC dealer's much better to work with, then go GIAC. Are you disagreeing with that?
Giac will be great man you will love it
