So my brother has a "socketed chip" from GIAC and i would like to trade it in for a flash on my 03. Its my understanding that there is a full retail credit offered for exchanging a chip for a flash. So I would just pay for flash install, about 1 hour. Problem is there is only one GIAC dealer in houston and i couldnt talk the guy into doing it. he was simply telling me that it could not be done. Does anyone know of a GIAC dealer that will honor this? This will force me to mail off for the tune but I have access to a flashloader, can i mail that instead of my ECU so my car is not MIA?
