I've never heard anything about Audi internet salesmen. I'm sure it just varies by the dealership. I bought my 05 over the phone from 400 miles away. As someone else mentioned... Get on Cars.com and find the invoice price. Offer them $500 over that. If they don't accept it, then walk away. I'm sure they will change your mind when you sudenly loose interest.

It means, he seconds what you said. Or is in agreement with what you said. :P

Oooh..Ok.. Of course he would hae to agree with me.. Disagreeing with me would more than likely result in a small portion of torture being doled out..

dont let them know how much u want the car.

be willing to walk out if they wont work with u (i did this once and the dealer came out running after me)

let them know that u r looking at other potential cars.

dont give them a price u r willing to pay, if they ask u how much u want to spend tell them u were hoping they would give u the car for free.

Leasing is tricky. Most people get stuck on how much the monthly payment is for the car, vs how much they are actually paying.

When you buy a car, you concentrate on the price. When you are leasing, they can play with the price, the down payment, the number of miles allowed, the residual, bank fees, etc, until you have no idea exactly how much you are paying.

I don't know about a lease but when I was in business school we had a used car dealer talk to our entrepreneur class and he said that you should take exactly the amount of cash you want to pay and offer. If they don't take it go somewhere else...who cares. You'll probably have more than one dealer in your area.

Leasing can be confusing. I'm not quite sure I got such a hot deal, after all. Then again, I'm only 20, so I'm sure a lot of what I'm paying is interest.

Thanks for all your responses...really good advice.

I was also wondering if any of you have convinced salesman to give you free options like a nav system or anything else? If so, how did you do that?

A little off topic, but what are your oppinions of Xenon lights? I'm considering the technology package that includes the Bi-xenons.
