glove compartment

RE: glove compartment
You have to pull the entire glove compartment to get the lock out because there is a small set screw on the side of the lock that can't be accessed. Pull the glove compartment by removing all 10 8mm bolts and pull down on the glove box, then open the door (if you can and you will see a very small torx on the inside of the door by the lock, remove that set screw and then you can pop out the handle from the door. You WILL have to break the holder for the lock thats part of the handle so you will need a new handle to replace the lock as well. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE KEY INSIDE THE LOCK WHEN REMOVING IT!!! if you don't the tumblers will fall out and then your screwed, and make sure you put the lock into the new handle exactly as it came out of the old handle. Install in reverse order.
