i just bought the 2005.5 a4 2.0t FWD with CVT transmission yesterday and i had the APR chip installed about 1 hour after getting it. The chip gave me a +41 hp and a +85lb of torque increase from the stock 200hp/207lbs of torque. i really recommend this chip and any other APR products to anyone who is thinking about getting this chip. You can definetly feel the difference as soon as you first floor the car. gl with the chip man, your going to love it.

FYI .... Before buying my 06 A4 (2.0T FWD CVT multi) I talked to the Audi salesman at length about the performance of the car. He told me that one of his service personnel is really into the performance tuning on his own A4 with the 2.0T engine. He told me that before the guy did anything to it, he took the car to a local performance shop and hooked it up to a dyno. The result ..... the stock 2.0T engine tested out at 220 HP. The salesman also told me that the Audi factory has a reputation for understating the horsepower of its engines.

Now I'm fully aware that the guy was a salesman and was trying to sell me a car, but I thought I'd share this story anyway. TIFWIW.

no I didn't mean to sound harsh bro. I just reread my post. sorry if it came out the wrong way. i hope you got an answer to your prob.

BTW: I'd go GIAC. although APR is smooth GIAC is a little more aggressive off the line.

nope not yet I'm hoping for the beginning of this week. they have my phone number and email. It would be cool to get some kind of tracking number or something. UPS ground is only a three day trip and I know it got there on thursday so I'm hoping they did the upgrade and shipped it friday so maybe it will be here tomorrow or wednesday? we'll see I'll keep you all posted.

if not wedenesday they will get a call from one angry smokeU.

UPDATE: just checked my bank account online they charged me $10 on thursday so hopefully its en-route. maybe even today!

I was a little worried because I bought the ECU w/ the 91 program used (classifieds) so I was wondering if they would give me the upgrade for free + shipping since I didnt buy the program from them but no phone call yet and i think/hope its in the mail. [sm=icon_sneaky.gif]
