Good News & Bad news

I have finally managed to get my hands on an accurate oil pressure gauge...

The good news is my engine has oil pressure, between 45 & 55 psi (or 300-380 kpa) does anyone know if this is right?

The bad news is I still have a top end noise that makes my lovely Audi sound like a Honda with minimum oil. There was not much sludge in the oil pan so maybe it is the lifters? Keep in mind my oil can light has come on a number of times over the past 3 months? So i'm still lost. Any ideas

That would help wouldn't it... LOL. My car is an A4, 1.8 litre TQ (AEB engine)
