For starters, I'm sick as a dog right now.
I had minor surgery on Tuesday and on top of that I came down with a cold while I'm in the process of recovering.
Against Doctor's orders, I went to pick up my Side Engine Cover because I'm insane.
When I arrive, the guy at the counter tells me $52, which was incorrect (should have been closer to $42-$45 because I had to order from Germany) so I have him run it again.
Lucky for me, there was a price reduction as of Sept. 1st and he tells me the new price is $28. HUH?!? Okay, cool, ring me up quick before you change your mind.

I lift the hood and install the cover. Much cleaner - here's a before and after.

I leave the dealership, happy with my $28 purchase and smiling from seeing that nice S4.
Since I am so dehydrated that I'm about to pass out, I decide to stop and get a Gatorade at a gas station.
As I go to turn in, some senile old lady in a 30 foot long Buick decides to stop in the middle of the turn out.
Since the turning on the A4 is so sharp at low speeds, I decide I can squeeze between her and the curb with no problem.

Is this an easy fix? How much does it normally run?
If it's not worth the expense, this would be an excellent opportunity to convince the wife I need those new RS4 v.2 Reps.
Also, when I turn the lease in sometime around mid-2009 - is curb rash a problem or is it considered normal wear and tear?

dude thats that bad of rash. sorry your sick that sucks, im also not feeling that well. that cover looks much better then before. and i love that rs4. ya deff tell the wife that you need 4 new wheels and tires

 

that cover is great.. i didnt know it was that cheap.. I will check my dealership this week.. dont they make that in a carbon fiber though?

 

that badge seems to small to be an rs4. seems like an S4 with aftermarket exaust and rs6 wheels.

i thought it was an RS4 at first too, but then I noticed the exhaust tips were wrong
