GOOD NEWS: The car is back. BAD NEWS: The car is back in the shop.

well i got my A4 back yesterDay. (thanx TexA4 for drinving me.) The car is now able to make power all the way through 9000 rpm's but the problem is that my software rev limits at 7100 rpm. anyways thats not why its back in the shop.

I was driving it today and i heard a hiss, followed by this was a pop, the a clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk. so i pulled over and looked at my front right tire. the tire had been ripped off by my rim. unfortunatly i havent gotten the camera back from Unerground VW, so i wasnt able to get a pic of the tire. newys the sidewalls of the tire was still on my rim but the meaty part had been torn clean off. well discoun tire is currently getting another tire on the wheel. This damage also caused my inner tie rods to fail. so now i have to get those replaced before the car is road worthy again.

Uh oh! Sounds like you caught the plague, code-named "Doose"! I think we need to setup a quarantine zone!

T, that's exactly what I was about to say! David, the good news is, the plague as I had it stopped at three. So you ought to be ok now, Engine, tire, tie rod. Done. I hope. Shoot some details on how things went together.

hey on the tie rods, how much did it cost you to replace them.

Actually, I haven't had to replace them.... yet. Knock wood here, but I haven't had to replace any suspension components yet. The beauty of 118,000 miles of highway driving.

Well i think there is more good news. When i got my car back from the shop that replaced the hub and wheel bearings. i noticed that the back right rear tire was cocked like this \ so i think that caused my front tire to fail. so tomorrow im going down to brake check to discuss this with them.

Doose: yes this was a falkin tire. Have you gotten yours yet? if so how do you like them?

TexA4: shut up man, now i wish i would have listened to you. but im still convinced that the rear tire had something to do with this.

Everybody: i got my car back on the road. nothing got fixed besides i got a new tire from discount tire for free. (thank you extended warrenty)
