Well,

I gotta a 97 A4 Quattro 5 sp. I am going to do a head, came, turbo...etc, etc.

My question is which is the best shop to send the head off to to have it ported polished valve job, etc etc???

I am located outside of chicago, but distance really doesn't matter,

Are there any shops that are racing these cars? Make 500 whp??? I have only seen the dyno sheets for ATP.com 's car which made over 400 on stock engine.

Any help would be appreciated.

just call around looking for quotes on this work. look under machine shop and ask if they do that type of work.

when i get my heads and cams in next week i am going to have heads p&p and milled (just to be on a strait serface) a small localguy by my freinds house is going to do them. he quoted my me $250 ish for the heads (he wants to take a look at them first before giveing me a final quote) and he is also going to p&p my intake manifold he also said about $250. my local shop said it would be about 700 for the intake manifold so prices vary drasticly. i may also gundrill my cams i have a differant guy (has done several for same cams) for $400.

my buddy machine shop lives in the taunton Ma area and the cam guy lives in the denver Co area. most places will take weeks to do the work to let you know.
