Default goof off 2

Is Goof Off 2 safe to use for my debadge? I know it says to use Goo Gone in the DIY report, but I just want to make sure because on the back it says may damage "...oxidized paints". Anyone used it for theirs w/out problems?

im honestly not sure but the best way to find out is to use on an inconspicous spot, like in a door jam or under the hood somewhere.

How long do I wait to see if anything is damaged?

well, how long do you think it will be on the body when debadging? lets say it takes you 1 hr do do it, thats a stretch but thats if worse comes to worst. so leave it on for a couple of hours. clean it off and let the light reflect off the spot to see if the paint is hazed. when i did mine i used a blow dryer fishing line and goo gone (its that citris stuff). then i cleared the rest off with a snowboard wax scraper.

um i dont no about that stuff, but i wouldnt worry about it. I just heated the bagdes up alittle on my 96 then used fishing string to peal them right off, hardly any residue was left. I just put allitle wax/blemish remover on what was left and i came right off

I'd still test anyway, just to be safe.

well try the goo gone... if it isn't working, then give the goof off 2 a whirl. I've used goof off... umm... goof off 1... on cars before. it is pretty sketchy stuff, but it does the job -- just gotta be careful. if #2 is milder, then yeah, I wouldn't be too worried about it... just do it at a time where you can give the car a good wash after you're done. Get off any residue. But yes, try goo gone first, if it is working well enough, then don't risk it. Just buy them both... good stuff to have around anyways -- goo gone especially.

Ok so I went ahead and used a milder Bug and Tar Remover...made for car paint. So I'm done with debadging...nice quick n' easy mod. Ill include pics of that when I put my RS4 grille/stealth bulbs in if anyone is interested.
