Default Grand Prix

I dont know if anyone has been watching, but man what an embarrassment to the sport of Formula 1 racing. SIX cars started on the line because of a problem with the other teams Michelin tires. Some race officials said that if a turn was changed, they could indeed continue with the Michelin tires, but the FIA would'nt allow it. It was such a dissappointment as this was the race they were attempting to bring the sport over to the US with. Ferarri took the top 2 spots with Shumacher in 1st and Barichello in 2nd.

Fans looked outraged, throwing beer bottles and trash on the track, luckily the racers were unaffected.

Hopefully the sport can recover from this embarrassment soon.

I know Jest and i think brrman were there, so if you guys or anyone else wants to throw in their thoughts/experiences on the events, I'd be interested to hear.

i was watching it too. I think the FIA should have put a speed limit on turn 13 so the tires could have handled it, but i agree that it would limit the competion but so did having only 6 cars racing. It a bummer that they couldnt get the right tires sent in. I saw the pit crews checking the bridgestoens and they were getting eaten up.

How crazy was it when schumacher went around that water bottle and the other guy hit it. I would have bee so pissed if i was there.
