i just thought of a great idea (maybe) i live in colorado where emissons are pretty tough. here is my idea to get a test pipe and a 3" non high flow cat and relocate the cat a little further down stream like where they normally are on other cars so made i can free up some horse power and still pass emissions any input will be great this was a though while i was working last night

 

No matter where you put the cat, its still going to be restrictive.

 

yea but it would be out of the engine bay so in theroy there would be less heat
and it might make the turbo work a little fast since the cat it's 3 inches from it

 

Uh not really... for a cat to be effective it needs heat to work, specifically the heat from exhaust from the engine. The farther out it is, the less effective it will be. Leave it alone....

just move to florida, no emissions + nicer weather

 

i have thought of that but i just bought a house here and it is fun to take the audi out in the snow
