Grooved Struts

Default Grooved Struts

So im looking at AWE tuning and was wondering about the grooved struts they sell. they are only $50 for front and back together. is it need or should i just get the springs and shocks?

If you have quattro it is the $521 or $469 for fwd. The groves allow adjustability for further lowering or raising to stop wheel rub. I have the grooved.

yeah i have a 1.8T Q so i guess when i order them ill do the grooved. are they easy to udjust or do i have to do alot of work to do it?

The spring needs to be compressed to adjust them which isn't very hard with the right tools.

while your at it get h&r race springs

not to jack this thread, but why couldn't you just get the shocks for 50, wouldn't they work for lowered springs?

i mean if all you want to do is lower your car, and not lower/raise it ever again, couldn't you just get them?

no no no your are reading it all wrong. it is 50 for the part that will let me raise and lower it not for the springs or the shocks. for those as a kit it is like 740 plus 50 if i want to be able to adjust it later on.
