I was driving on the freeway late last night........ My headlights and foglights just cut off!!!! It scared the HELL out of me!!! So I started messing with the switch nothing but the highbeam, and only if you pull back on the switch and hold it. I finally pull off the freeway and check all the fuses in the side panel and they were all good. Then I noticed the check engine light and ALL the gear lights were on in the gauge cluster(automatic). Park through 2 gear, were all on. Usually just the gear you are using lights up. While driving it doesn't shift all the way to 4 speed, but will shift 1st through 3rd while engaged in 2nd speed??????? So basically I have no headlights and it's shifting wierd. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. It actually had to do with my ignition switch. A few pieces & parts got broken off in the switch, the engine would start, my corner lights and dash lights came on, but my headlights wouldn't. I had to hold the highbeam lightswitch all the way home. I took it to my mechanic the next day and he showed me the bad ignition switch. He put the key in the switch, turned it back with great force and held it there, and that time the headlights did come on.

It also happened when I did my headlight conversion. I didn't have a bulb in tight enough and the only lights that came on were my dash lights.

.......Check your bulbs first & make sure none of them are loose.

 

Dragondesigns..................I checked the bulbs none were loose........and cranked on the ignition switch pretty hard, but no lights????? Could it still be the ignition switch? Please help!
