the stock exhaust and exhaust manifolds on an audi 2.8 are of a much better design and are more free-flowing than the exhaust and manifolds on say a ford 5 litre. you simply are not going to see much in the way of gains with bolt on mods on a naturally aspirated audi engine, sorry. you could do custom exhaust and try to fab up custom headers (not sure if there are even any aftermarket headers out there for the 2.8), but that will probably only give you the sound you're looking for. you might gain a few hp (5-10, tops), but is that enough to justify the hundreds or even thousands of dollars you're going to spend to free up those ponies?

there's rly absolutely not much that will be worth on a 12v. not trying to hurt ur feelings man. i think if u want mods, u should get a 1.8t. or if u have sum extra cash, the 30v 2.8 s/ced will do pretty good. the 12v just doesn't have enough valves to cover the amount of air moving around

custom fab a supercharger, its easier then what people make it out to be, yet it isnt simple by anymeans. motodyne makes a kit but its liek 6 grand and i;ve heard they arent fun to deal with. im in the process of this myself, havnt made a post about it, because everyone just flames about it. i've made mounting brakets, oil feed lines, aluminum intakes to replace the stock plastic. its doable, but you gota know that you can make more hp for less $ with a 1.8.

i guess for low end nitrous wouldnt really be your thing, so..? you could do underdrive pullys, there around 300-400$, but have promises of around 15 hp.

nitrous could still work for you, computerize the output of the nitrous for certain rpm's. so you'll get an extra 50 hp or so over 35 hudred or 4 grand.
ehhhh, thats all i got.

Why don't you go educate yourself on motodyne and stop posting worthless 12v info. Motodyne us a rip off - literally. They will take your money and turn tail. How do you plan on controlling timing with your setup? Fuel delivery? Boost? If you're not going standalone you're SOL...

Sell the 12v and buy something moddable. I know STS style turbos have been done before but the same issues on controlling ECU maps exist. The hitachi ECU is worthless for modding.
im pretty sure if you read my post before typing that i did give a downside to motodyne, oh sorry was i not harsh enough on them? didnt know you were holding a grudge.
what worthless 12v info had i posted? everything i post i check to make sure its legitimate and i can back it up with some kind off source or data, don't ******* tell me I'm posting bs info.
you did nothing but prove my point, i put one word up about a s/c and you shityourself about it. my Audi's a project for me and a learning experience. your flaming isn't going to pursued me to give up on it.

Their actualy a lot that mods can do UpstateNYA4, on my mustang I put high performance 170c heads on it and the heads alone gave me 100hp, it really depends on how much money you are willing to spend.
the mustang is a v8 and ohv not very modern

No your not hurting my feelings, thats why I turned to you guys. I have been considering a Engine swap, and I have been told that the 1.8T is not bad, but someone also mentioned the 4.2 v8, would that even fit in my car?
