Default HEET?

Hey all,
Well..it is absolutely cold as hell outside right now. ~1 degrees F or -13 with windchill..and it's supposed to get even colder by sunday. I was wondering if anyone uses that HEET stuff you put in your gas tank when ya fill up? Would that have any negative effects to my 1.8T?

Is there areason you are considering it? Having starting problems? Water in your gas?
Its fine to use it for those really cold *** days. If you use clean fuel though, you should
not need it until it gets really cold (I guess -13 would warrant it)

I thought it was more of a preventative measure. I'm not having any problems yet but I used to put it in my old corolla when it got really cold out so the lines wouldn't freeze. Wondering if it screws up the premium fuel our babies need.
