So anyway, when i shift gears randomly, the dash gear lgihts all get highlighted ... and the car is sluggish (i think it goes into safe mode? )

i shut it off, restart and it's fine.

When i start the car i heard a large pop when i put it into reverse and the lights all came on

any ideas?

The radio is not in safe modes, no CEL, no error codes with vag ... those are only lights coming up

 

What year is your car? What engine? What specific light is it? What lights came on when you went into revers?

 

Ya some more info would be good.........You would be amazed what a bad cluster will do to the car.

i think it's something wrong with reverse gear ... when i just put the car in reverse the car kept rolling forward for a bit before i heard a crunch ....

and the lights coming on only happens usually when i put it in rear
