Default Help - CEL on, car running rough

Hey everyone. I've been on the boards for a few months browsing, and getting lots of info (great site by the way) but this is my first post. About 6 weeks ago I bought a black on black 2003 A4, 1.8T, Quattro, 5 spd, sport package, etc. It has 35,000 miles on it.

So today I was driving, and all the sudden it loses power when I accelerate. It doesn't go nearly as fast, hesitating and slightlyjerking as I speed up. It is idling really rough too. The check engine light comes on too.

The car is still under factory warranty until the middle of August, so I'm taking it in tomorrow, but

1) Does anyone have a guess as to what's going on here?
2) Am I paying for the tow, or does Audi?
3) The digital display does not display a few pixels in the top left corner. I assume this falls under warranty too, right? Should I have them check that out?

Yea, I've been running 93 octane from the start. I'm halfway through this tank too, so I don't think I got some bad fuel.

Money on a failed coil pack.

Yes Audi should fix the display. They will have to get a new instrument cluster as the entire instrument panel comes as one piece.

You will likely have to pay for the tow, or call the dealer. Maybe they can tow you. Or just drive it to the dealer if you aren't too far.
