sup i got a 2001 audi a4 avant 1.8t with sports package

and the right front tire refuses to come off, no matter how many times i pound on it

and do i need a special tool to take it off?????

dam car didnt come with jack nor wrench, lucky for me i found a tool that had the right lugnut.

but it refuses to come off and i got work to goto tomorrow......

 

Its more likely than not just REALLY corroded, I work at a tire shop and it happens to cars ALL the time! Just keep on slammin on it...and if you want to be careful you can screw on a lug nut and hit the back of the tire so when it does come off....it won't fly anywhere! Haha good luck, lemme know how it goes.

 

use a mallet and hit the back side of the wheel. And make sure ur hitting the "rim" not the tire.

 

I use a block of wood and a sledge type thing, turn the wheel as u hit ur way around it.

 

you need to remove the lug bolts first........j/k[8D]

just work at it, dont be afraid to be forcefull. good luck,

 

Yeah my wheels got seized on pretty good! I supported the car on jackstands, got underneath it with a block of wood, and my BFH... and went to effin town! I was so angry!

 

its the freakin' lugnut that wont come off :-(

and fom the look of the post i'm gon have a ballpark tryin' to take it off once the lugnuts come off :-(

 

dam socket wrench piece broke [:@]

gon have to tow the car to town fair tire and than pay for another tire, tire cost $250 bucks each :-(

what i had to get........18" breaker bar 1/2" 17mm socket with 3 " extension. spray some pb blaster on it and it shouls come right off. got it all at sears. socket set

how would i connect the socket to the breaker bar???
