help turbo or dv problem urgent
okay i have a apr r1 dv this morning while driving i noticed that it was slugish and i wouldent boost past 5 psi i noticed that the vac line was out of the the dv i thought it was strange so i put it back on coming back from school it was strange same symptoms i check if the vac line is off but its no every thing sems right no cel's yet and the dv isnt making the noise its supposed btw i was planning to go the track to day with some buddies and this just realy bummed me any help/quick fixes
i went theyre anyway and i ran a 18 and a 19 and now my car makes a sound like a dying cow i belive my dv is broken

It's a long shot but maybe something got into the nipple where the vacuum line connects to your DV. You might want to look into that just to make sure. And you could be in limp mode. Try disconnecting your battery for 10 min and then reconnect it and do a TBA.

It may not be related, but there are at least a few people on Audiworld that have had problems with the R1 causing pressure drop due to a weak spring. They sent them back to have a stiffer spring put in.

im going to jack the car up replace it with the oem one and see it that fixes it if it does ill call apr and tell them that my oem valve is a known good and it works well and make them give me a new one

The R1 is just a glorified 710N. The fact that there is no way to service it with different springs/lube, etc. well that is a huge turn off for me.

You obviously dont know how DV/BOV/Bypass valves work. Wether they operate with a rubber diaphragm or apiston, they all use springs.

i put in my factory vavle and its fine now im goign to call apr up on monday and tell them i want a new one
