Okay, I've searched through the posts and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. So, I thought I'd ask the question myself. I'm trying to install my HID kit that I bought from xenonking.com in my 2004 A4 and every time I go to turn them on they turn on for 5 seconds and then turn off and I get this annoying beeping message on the DIS telling me that my fog lights are dead. Does anyone know of a work around for this short of having to hardwire them through an aftermarket switch directly to the battery? That would be extremely tacky I think. Thanks in advance.

 

there has to be someway other than hardwiring with a seperate switch. are you sure you hooked everything up correctly? maybe call xenonking, and ask them? Im not an HID expert by any means, wish I could help though.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everything is hooked up correctly, it's plug and play! :-P The guys over at the audiworld forums think I may have gotten a kit that isn't quite compatible with the audi electrical system. Bummer! I'll keep you posted on what I come up with.

 

Well, if its plug and play, I'd be getting in touch with XenonKing and asking them whats up with it. Keep us posted. Theres nothing more disappointing than spending time working on your car to not have it work right.
