Default HID Install

I am looking to install anHID setup on my headlights that do not have HIDs. How hard is it to hook up and do I need to cut apart my headlight housing for this? Do I just need to mount the ballast and put the new bulb in? Here is the kit I'm looking at... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H7-HI...spagenameZWDVW

Also what size bulb should I use? 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K or 12000K?

What year is your car? Most use H7 bulbs. 4,300 to 6,000K is good.

thats not size...thats kelven temp....its just what color you prefer...4300 is whiter (and best for vision) and as you get closer to 12000k you get blue-er and purple-er and usable light (for vision) decreases

a saw a figure somewhere comparing the outputs of different temps, and the difference was negligible

just go for what you like best, 4300k is factory, 6000k is a little blue, and the 8000k is bluer yet

and thats a vvme kit, so if you get an h7 it will be plug and play, you just need to cut a little hole in the back of the dust cap, for the wires, that is then covered by a gromet

10k is real blue and thats what I got. Sometimes it gets annoying cuz everything looks blue but all in all I still like it. They are real easy to install. I dit it in 20 minutes at my work's parking lot.

All you need to is change the bulb and mount the ballast somewhere.

has anyone bought HIDSfrom this ebay store "flashplus" before? he has good feedback 97.6%, but charges 42 + 35 shipping = $77 for HIDS. How does this compare to other places anyone else has used? Any more reliable, cheaper or better places to buy from personal experience, thanks.
