Default HID lights, help?

I'm looking for an HID upgrade solution to my vehicle. I've browsed multiple sites and so far it seems most options are going to be jerry rigging it into my existing lights. Does anyone make an aftermarket HID lamp that you can just slap in there? I have a 2001 A4 1.8t quattro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you either mod it so they become HID lamps, or you buy HID ecodes and pay out the @$$ for them.

Will I need anything special to do the conversion? Will I need to buy two sets for the hi/lo lamps? Is it just plug and play? Any suggestions on a reputable company?

the mcculloch brand is what I got affordable and pretty good so far. hi/lo lamps are available but expensive. I just got the hids for the low and put halogen hid look alike for the hi, fogs and park lights. installation can be done DIY but mine was done by the shop i bought it from. free cause labor is cheap here in the phil....
