Default High rpms-clutch

Hello, so I've noticed really high rpms in the 5th gear, I'm going 65-70 with 3000 rpms. But today finally found out what's going on, my clutch slips!!!
My car has 72xxx miles, I dont think previous owners ever have changed the clutch, so it is my duty now. So the question is what is the best clutch (for the price) should i get? I'm notplanning on any hardcore mods, maybe chip + exhaust in a future. I'm thinking why not to put a racing clutch BUT WHICH ONE? And also, for those live in Chicago, do you know any good/cheap shops which can changed a clutch? Thanks.

Ok, now i'm kind of confused. I'm going in the third gear, about 2500 rpms, the press the pedal a little bit and my rpms go like up to 4000 than i nthe same second go down up to 2700. The same **** is with almost each gear. Does anyone know what is that???

Your clutch is slipping... 72k isn't much for a dead clutch... mine only slips a little when cold

Ok, but the fact is that it is slipping. So I have to get a new one anyway!!! Do you guys know any websites where i can look for a good clutch, i'm thinking about aftermarket one, but have no idea which one to choose. It is 2003 a4, 1.8t. And also, for those from Chicago area, any good shops around here?

Well do you want a stock feel clutch? Or one that can support mods?

I'm not thinking about any major mods except of a chip and exhaust in a future... But still, racing clutch wouldn't make the car worse, am i right?
I think if i need to change the clutch anyways, it is better to pay a little bit more for a better clutch.

But the thing is that when i bought a car (about 2 weeks ago) everything was ok, except a couple of times when only in 3rd gear my rpms could stop probably for 0.01 seconds and than go up again (when i pushed that hard). But now, it is really hard to drive on a highway, there is no acceleration ))
So would someone plz help a noob with a new clutch???
