Hi all.How do I 'physically' turn up the boost on the B5 1.8T A4?Does the K03 come with its own wastegate or do I have to use something like an electronic boost controller to do it?

 

you can get a MBC or EBC but this is not reccommened as you are just turning up the boost nothing else on a stock turbo and stock programing you will probley end up blowing something

 

cdx... get it "chipped" Look at APR, and GIAC for 1bar programs (stock K03's run 7lb boos and the chipped cars run around 14lbs.).... the stock A4 engine can run about 21 lbs of boost with stock internals and intercoolers..... but you do have to adjust fuel, exhaust, timing, etc.... so be careful and have fun, but the easiest way (only about $500) and cheapest is to have your ECU programmed.

 

You can turn up the boost few pds by adjusting the wastegate, its not hard to do.

Get a chip and a mbc. The mbc was really nice when i got it. You can delay the wastegate from opening. Its a great tool for adjusting driving styles.
