2001 A4 2.8 - need to get at the cigarette lighter socket to remove it so that I can replace it, since the fuse isn't the problem. It has that fancy pivot hinge holder and I've tried prying just the socket out of that, but no luck. Any advice on how to get at that rascal? Thanks for any help you can provide.

 

I've never taken it out of an audi but any other ones, you would need to remove whatever it is coming out of and push in the hinges from the back
