put something in between the corner of the seat and the center console like cloth or something

Thanks - I was wondering if that would work! I was also thinking of some good quality seat covers in gray or something to kinda soften up the look of inside.... that and I am probably one of the few people who aren't a fan of leather/leatherette...
each to their own, if u dont like ya go for seat covers have fun finding a good one
im not a fan of leather or letherette i rather have cloth
leather/letherette doesnt breathe and your back gets all sweaty on a long drive

This probably isn't the solution you're looking for, but to add a little bit of color, you could throw some decals on the seats or some Audi-logo seat belt pads. Some people might think they look tacky, depends what look you're going for. But in general, red is always a good color to add to an Audi (Audi sport logos are red).

Personally, I dig the black interior...maybe it's a guy thing. I love driving at night, when the dash and consoles are lit up red.

Sorry - lemme explain it a little better...

My question is not how it physically feels, but more how appealing I find it. The black interior with the sport seats and everything REALLY appeals to my husband (who also owns a modified mustang), but it's too rugged or something for me.

I think I'm more of a girly-girl then I like to think I test drove a 2001 with an awesome beige interior yesterday - the interior felt more luxurious to me then the harsh black interior of the 2002 we are considering. It's all a feeling thing, not based in anything factual.

I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense....
Put a seat cover preferably pink flush and that should make it girly.

There's a few Audi-specific strip yards accessible on the web that may be able to send or swap you door panels and center console and/or seats. I'll see if I can "dig" up the links and post them here, for you.

more to follow...

Don't do seat covers, they suck... buy some B6 S4 seats... I've seen them for sale a few times. They are black with silver 'alacantra' suede down the centers. Picture these bit silver... not blue.

mine is gray w/ the ebony leather, pretty perfect combination. i wouldn't have gone with any other interior color w/ the gray. i wouldn't cover it up, if you don't feel good in it then keep looking. & good luck!

Its a woman thing!!

*grin* yep, it sure is!!!!

I'm driving my husband absolutely nuts with this one!

And while I'm here... I also noticed that my shorter legs (I'm 5'3") need the seat further forward - but for some reason the front inner corner of the seat doesn't have the room to comfortably move forward without this annoying noise as it rubs against the side of the center console.... any idea how to prevent that? That rubbing cannot be good for it's long term condition, and I'm guessing that I would start to see wear on both the seat and the console.

I am gonna help you with the squeeking noise

And the harsh leather.... hang on a second, god damn it where did that link go... Aaahhh hah here it is.

I present to you, a furry seat cover, softer, brighter looking, and it will keep leather and rubber from rubbing....

problem solved, $19.99

Hey everyone -

I'm thinking about buying a 2002 A4...

It's got high mileage (56,000) but feels very secure to drive. Due to the high mileage the price is lower then one might expect, and it seems to be a great car.
56k is not high at all for an '02. That's like an avg. of 15k a year.
