i brought my car to "kmdtuning" some german tuning shop and i wanted to purchase ecodes. and the man asked me if i had halogens or xenons. i have a 2001, soi have projector lenses. but he told me to turn my headlights on and he said i had halogens. how? if you say that xenons are all projector lensed

 

From 1999.5 to 2005 all the headlights were projectors, xenons and halogens. In the 2005.5's only the xenon's are projectors.

so im confused... i have an 03 a4 and when i turn my headlights on they start dim and within a second or so they go up (like point higher) and then get a little brighter. Does that mean i have hid? also the low beam lens is almost like a grey and i cant see a bulb at all, but the high beam i can see a bulb...

heres driver side headlight... high beam on left, low beam on right... correct???

 

Lift ur hood, there should be a box for hids on both side
