Default hows the progress on your car?

well, ive only had my car for a month...

when i got it, i wanted to get the following:

Clear corners/sidemarkers
Boost Guage
Diverter Valve
Chip
Wheels/Tires

so far i have the clear corners/sidemarkers, and the boost guage is on the way..

hopefully ill get a forged diverter valve by the end of the summer, ill get the chip whenever i can have a downtime in my car (not now or anytime in the next bit), and ill probably wait untill i need new tires to get the wheels/tires (next summer).

Do suspension before wheels and tires unless you already have the OEM sport suspension.
The car will look better dropped on stock wheels than it will jacked with aftermarket. Trust me.

take brrman's advice. I had no choice but to buy new wheels, so I upgraded to 17" rs4 replicas. I run stock suspension and the wheel gap is quite large. Get your suspension changed before you buy larger wheels.

I've been saving my money so I can just do all of it at once. It'll be a one stop drop and pop!! Can't wait to put the order in!

I think you'll really like it. A good set of new wheels and a low suspension really transform the A4 into pure sex.

Well, I've got most of the major mods to mine done, except suspension and wheels. But it's never ending. I've got a list of things I need to get done before winter, most of which are service related items, not mods. I think I'd be bored if I didn't have anything to do on my car. It's a sickness I tell you.

And here I've been paying rent and buying food! I gotta get my priorities straightened out!

But I do have the sport suspension on my A4, guess all I need is some 18's and tires. I love the ADR M-Sports, those just look slick as sh**! What kind of tires would you all go for? I'm not in the market now, but maybe next summer I'll pick some up.

As for other mods I plan on before winter:
Diverter Valve (any suggestions, I'm not goin with a chip for awhile yet..thinking just the 710N)
Boost Gauge (VDO center mount)
Turbo Timer (any favorites out there?)
--those will all help my turbo live long and prosper.

Clear corners (on the way, Thanks brrman!)
Side Markers
Car Cover (not really a mod but a must for winter)

Oif, *checks pocket book* gonna be a bit tight...

1) even with a chip, the 710N will be sturdy enough

2) dont bother w/ a turbo timer, too much boost w/o extra fuel? boo on that, wait it out for the chip.

3) you seem on the same track as i am, cept my guage is goin in the left vent.

Isn't the point of the turbo timer to cool your oil after a good run? From what I read it doesn't have anything to do with the fuel system..it just keeps your car running after you turn it off inorder to cool the oil down. Some of them also display a bunch of other information like oil temp/pressure, speed...etc. Is there something I'm missing?
