Default HX DV?

I just rcently got a 99.5 1.8TQ and after some research on here, decided to go with a GIAC chip and 710DV. However, when I contacted the GIAC dealer in my area, he said he only had HXDV and that they were superior to the 710. He also quoted me a price of close to $250 installed for the DV and around $600 for hte software, bringing the total to about $850. This all seems a bit high to me. What's the deal on the HX and should I look for a different place to get it all done?

I think the 710N is good for more, but the chip w/ labor should be about $550, and deff do the dv yourself. If I were you I would buy the 710N, install it yourself, and save over $200.
