I am due for my 75,000 miles service.

Hey, everyone! I picked up an Audi A4 last August. It's been one year! :D I love my baby! I get so many compliments. :D My very first German car that I LOVE!
A4, 2.0T, Quattro, white exterior, black leather, 2009. Bought it at 68,000 miles.

I am now due for 75,000 miles service. The cost at one Audi dealership is 500.00. Another quoted me 1,000. Not sure why I got two different price.
Anyway, some of the things they have mentioned they will do are basics. My husband said that he will just go ahead and do it himself.
1. Do you recommend us to do it ourselves and save us some money?
2. How do we reset the service light notification that keeps coming on, afterwards?
3. How do we check the oil, there is no oil stick to see how much oil is needed?

Thank you!

If you can do the work yourself (or as much as you can). It will save you alot of money. You can also look for an independent shop to do the work. They tend to be cheaper. Just make sure they are experienced with Audi.

You might be able to rest the service due light yourself. Although if you have the MMI it may need to be reset by the dealer. There was another post on here just a few weeks ago about resting the service due light.

Not sure about the oil. I have a 2008 that still has a dipstick. You must have an electronic level reader. Someone else might know or try searching the internet. You could always call Audi service department and ask them as well.

Hey there. I just got a 2010 Audi A4 Avant.

I do have the nav system with the screen in the middle of the console. I'm assuming yours probably has the screen/computer/nav system in place as well. That is where you would check the oil. It's done digitally... at least for the 2010 models. I was confused when I went to go check the oil and saw there wasn't a dip stick. You'll need to get the engine warm, and them follow the instructions in your owners manual, using the colsole "car" settings to check your oil levels.
