Take the speaker out of the rear deck and if the cap is off or loose of the speaker thats the problem. Use a thin layer of good super glue to fix the problem. ( A while back, I thought mine was blown too. I bought a new speaker and to my surprise when I took out the one I thought was blown, all it needed was to be glued....then it was good as new)
I'll find a link for you in a sec...(Well the site that used to show how to do it now charges for you to view the instructions.)
You have to take the rear deck off to get to the speaker. Dont try to pry the speaker out from up top on the rear deck.
same thing happened to me... on both accounts (front speaker sounding blown then "repairing" itself, and the rear deck)
the super glue thing really works... the dust cap comes off and needs to be glued
use this link to get to the speaker, then just glue away

this should help him a bundle, but unfortuantely, mine is the passenger door speaker.. do i have to take the whole door pannel off to get tot he speaker? sorry for making you type that..
i dont know about the front door panel... sometime the speaker sounds blown, other times it perfect... i dunno whats wrong with it
so to answer your question, i really dont know. if the problem is persistent and doesnt act like mine (works then sound blown), id possibly consider replacing it. if its a bose, try looking on ebay, if its not, maybe consider replacing your speakers with something aftermarket. i hear JL Audio is amazing in our cars, but they are quite pricey
hope that helps
