cut the 3-4" vacuum line between the FPR and the intake manifold. Put the "t" in there and split off to the back of you boost gage. Under idle, you should have ~20 in Hg of vacuum, and under heavy accleration on the 1.8T (stock with K03) you should be spiking 8-9 psig and holding 6-7 psig. Dude, you gotta tell us the year, engine, and mods on your car in order for us to help you. read the top threads of this forum first for tips. I'm just giving this info guessing you have a 1.8T, since you are installing a boost gage and most cars on this forum are B5s.

Also check the DIY section or search boost gauge install diy for step by step instructions or a link to a site with the instructions. It's not that hard, takes all of 1 hour tops for complete installation.

What brand/ type gage is it. most have theT that fits right into that line, with the bottom of the T made to fit right onto the nylon vacuum tube? What's the issue?

ok i went and got the right t fitting and still no luck. Heres the deal im puting on a k04 this weekend and wanted the gauge to work be for the install. I think theres a mega vac leak or the turbos wastgate is not working right to send pressure. This is such a easy job! grrr
other than that i guess im gona just put my ko4 on and try it the..... it could be the gauge too i guess? any tips are welcome

Good thing you found that leak. I'm surprised the engine wasn't running rough with a leakbig enough fora boost gauge notto respondat all toboost while accelerating or even reading vacuum while idling. Make sure the gaugeis reading ~20 in Hgat idle (vacuum), and putting out 6-7 psi atyour max boost with the K03.Then you willbe assured it isworking somewhat accurately.
