I like the Evo HP's I think you can find them on ebay for like 800 or less for a set of four

 

If you want to get somethin cheap that you know will look really good, go with some rs4 replicas off ebay. Only drawback is that a lot of ppl have them.

For this budget, I say you look at ASA AR1. ADR makes some good ones. You seem to be looking a a tuner/classy/sport wheel. These are some great choices...especially the ASA AR1 (licensed by BBS). Check em out

Another choice - I'm thinking about selling my 5-spoke 17" wheels from my B6 A4. They're in PERFECT condition and have been chromed. 17X7.5 on brand new tires 235/45/17. The tires have less than 3,000 miles on them (Sumitomo HTR+). I'm actually in the process of buying new wheels - hopefully they'll be here next week. Brand new the package costs $1496, and I'm selling it all for $750. Let me know if your interested.
