Default I want to put Rims on my not sport B6A4. Lower it???

I want am probably going to put 18"s on my audi. 17s are still a little too small and i have them now and i really want to go with 18s. The only thing is that my car isn't sport so its a little higher than the sport suspension. I want to lower my car or else it will look too high off the ground. Heck- its too high now to begin with, with 17s

Is there a kit i can buy to lower it 2-3 inches or so? If so where can i buy it. How much am i looking to just lower my car those 2-3 inches?

Maybe i can cut the stock springs down or such? Help me out please!!!!

And what the heck are coilovers?

no dont cut ur springs thats bad. And ricer. Coilovers are shocks and springs together. They have adjustable dampering too. so u can change ur ride hieght and such. U can get alot of different choices at ecstuning.com. They have a whole section of them.

i'd go with the spring/shock combo if you don't care for the adjustibility. It's more affordable. If you want something with at least a 2" drop then you should go for neuspeed race. My neuspeed race and koni shock combo gave me a 2 inch drop. If you are serious about it, I might be able to give you a deal on my set. I'm looking to sell them anyways. Let me know.

they have about 5k on them. i just got them put in in february but i'm going to take them out very soon. brand new you're prolly looking at 200 for the springs and at least 450-500 for the shocks...

where are you located?

actually, coilovers are a spring with a sleeve that when installed, you can adjust the height of the car by raising or lowering the two stops (essentially oversized nuts) on the sleeve. some sets have shocks built in, this is true, but you can most definelty buy just coilovers. the catch is to use aftermarket shocks as well though, as the factory ones won't deal as well with the pressure of being lowered, plus they also stiffen up the suspension.
