Default Idling problem realy freaky

This is a little weird but i figured i am not the only one that has had this happened. i was sittin at work warming my car up its snowing out. my car revs up to 3000rpms while in park and holds it there. so i shut the car off and restart it and its normal and about two mins later it dose it again. so i decide to put it in drive and it drives at 3000 rpms and just like stays there like it is in cruise little weird. then the car almost stalls got in like under a 1000 rpms (while i was stoped at a corner) and the check engine light comes on and the car is running realy ruff. so like 2 days go by and the check engine light goes away and i have no problems and the car runs smoth like always. about a month later it happens agian. if anyone knows what this is or how to fix please let me know. and my crusie control dose not worK>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<

i think your first problem is you're obviously female.

the only thing that i can think this would be is a messed ECU. you chipped by chance? Don't think this is a cruise control specific problem, for it wouldn't have dropped ur car to a near stall. this doesn't really sound like any normal problem... and if jest here has passed it without a suggestion... you're not gonna get much here except a 'check your code' (with a vagcom) or a 'take it to the dealer'.

check your code, or take it to the dealer. sorry dude, i got nothin

Trust me, if you invest the money up front in VAG-COM software, it'll pay for itself many times over. Well, I guess I should qulaify that, it'll pay for itself if you plan on doing your own maintenance. Check this site, they are the best IMO. Ross Tech
