I'm going to SC my 12V 2.8
I figure why the hell not, I have an addiction to modifiying cars.
Right now my main concern is fuel management.
The setup will be similar to the G1 PES kit but for a 12V.
Right now I'm deciding between an M90 or an M62, nope no Lysolm here. The pulley I can have made at any machine shop, I just gotta do some math and figure out what size it needs to be. The M90 comes off SC'd Thunderbirds, M62 comes off SC'd Pontiacs
Brackets are simply made. I can weld and metal is easily accessible.
Do I even need to mention the belt. I can find one at any auto parts store.
I'm thinking of using 290cc injectors, they should be suffiecient for up to about 350 hp.
Charge pipes are simply made also. There's a nice site where I've bought all my piping. www.kteller.com
I think I'm going to skip the FMIC and just run it without one. I can always add one later if I feel the need.
A cheap ebay BOV/DV is plenty sufficient also.
Total cost will be well under $1500 in materials, not sure about the tune yet.
Comments, Suggestions, Opinions or criticism???

Haha, dude, if it could be done within reasonable cost, dont u think someone would have done in the past 8yrs? Just buy a differnt car, its not worth it. And who are u going to have tune it then. You are going to need a custom ecu, because the 12v ecu will not work.
It's got to be possible, there are other sources of FM. Even if I have to "trick" the MAF to not see the boost, it's possible and then use an SAFC. It won't be the most efficient, but it WILL work.
actually you're right. It's probably not worth it. I'm not going to take the risk of it. I know it's possible though.
I'd have to research more before I drop the project completely.

I will give u my car if u make it work within reasonable cost, and actually make hp along the scales of the g2. I cant belive u are sayin u are smarter then apr/giac/pes when both have already look at the 12v for a s/c,and no one could make one... hmm that says something.
I should do it.
I can do it for well under 6k. The MAF is "trickable" and there are ways to add fuel without chipping the ECU. You can't tune it to perfection though and it'd be no where near efficient as a PES kit, that's why I'm having second thoughts and that's why they haven't done it, it wouldn't be reliable enough for them to put on th market, they's end up with a ton of lawsuits because someone f*cked up on adjusting fuel.
It isn't impossible, it just would end up not really being worth the trouble because it wouldn't be efficient or reliable. But it would make similar results to the PES kit.

Any car's fuel is "adjustable" whether it be from an outside source, SAFC for instance or you could simply add resistors.
I'm going to have to believe you on where you said it's not tuneable though. With that, I'm not going to attempt it. I'll keep this for a few more months, sell it and get a 30V or 1.8t.
I like a little bit of a challenge, so I would perfer the 30V.

no one has ever successfully s/c a 2.8, and you will not be the first.

bull ****.... get your facts straight... yes people have supercharged 12V's I have personally seen one.. the only thing is it cant be done for a reasonable cost.
I would recommend going with a stand alone system..
