I'm going to SC my 12V 2.8
if there was a cheap or at least semi-reasonable stand alone system I would do it..
With a PnP and an exhuast it will still be pretty quick.
i personally don't have an infinity amount of money to do it, nor do I have money at the moment to buy a newer A4. So I'm going to stick with this for a couple months.
But like I said, it can be done but without the precise tuning by using less effective alternatives .it's not going to be at it's peak and it will never have a flat A/R line, so I wouldn't be suprised to see some dips, possible detonation and a flat out short term engine. But I can guarantee it would still make more than 250 hp.

I can go through the costs beside whatever the management would be.
m90 or m62 >$200
Charge Piping ~$130
Injectors >300
Brackets, shouldn't be anymore than $100 and that's pushing it. My ability to weld and be able to fabricte the bracket makes this a whole lot cheaper
Belt >$30
Pulley >$200, I can probably even source a pre-made one, or calculate the amount of boost it would be with the stock m90/m62 pulley, they make upgrades and downgrades for the charger anyway.
High pressure Fuel pump $200 or so
AFPR ~$200
Plus ~$200 for micellaneous crap
Then the motherload which would be the actual fuel management, the piece I can't find.

if you can make it work, then do it. but you'll still get wrecked by s/c 30Vs... which to me would be an uber kick in the nuts.
why mod a insanely inferior engine when a 1 year newer car comes stock with a much much better engine?

ohhhh snap
Props to Warren (Owner), and All European Autowerk who did the custom work
now lets hear what you got to say audiboy.....
Ohhh snap let me say it one more time

EDIT: pulling harsh comments....
of course the 30v will destroy a 12v. the heads flow A LOT better which in turn will make more power. But if you already have a 12V and are able to SC that, why would you go out and buy a whole different car with a 30 V. Sure it's a better platform, but that's making the project an assload more money. If someone is looking for good gains but not asphalt shattering then a 12VSC would be plenty acceptable.
I think the block is capable of more than 300 HP, the heads on the other hand will be the limiting factor on whether it will be able to make that much in stock form. With a PnP on the 12V, it will flow close to the stock 30V does in stock form.
