Default Intercooler?

Okay, what would be considered a decent intercooler for a 99 1.8TQ? Found this reading up on a forum for my Accord (not boosted) and was wonderring if this would work in my audi?

David_K,
Random Question:
I have noticed your sig reads that you did a 12 quarter mile. What are some of your most note worthy performance upgrades?

My shop is planning to install for me
1) Injen cold air intake (about 250)
2) Neuspeed Exhaust (about 750)
3) Neuspeed ECU (about 300)

He said we are looking at about a 35-40 hp increase at the wheels. Do you think this is the right route to go? My budget is in the $1,000 - $1,500 area.
Thanks

Forget the cold air intake. Looks good, but does little if anything for speed. Save the 250 for control arm/wheel bearing/timing belt repair.

Upgrade your bypass valve to a 710N so you don't lose some of the higher pressure from the turbo.

Why don't you do it in stages? Try the chip and bypass valve (most cost effective). If you aren't happy, you can then upgrade the exhaust for a little bit more power.

if your budget is up to 1500, go straight for a k04 kit... around that price you will be running 240hp

I actually happen to know many people who use those intercoolers with real good success. he made a speeling error and u dont want his product? i think thats somewhat weak. Hes a smaller business, and im sure he probly runs his own site. i also think i know the site that you find them at, and i know alot of the people there. i know theres another altenative that alot of people go with, ill try and find it and ill pm you.

(if its the site im thinking of, i bet u can piece together the k04 kit cheaper then you can buy it )

if you really want to run 12 seconds be prepared to drop about 4 g's and about a year of playing with air/fuel ratios and timing and boost

IMOPO intercoolers are a waste of money unless you live in the desert or have an upgraded turbo.
