Interestingg...
i went to my local tuning shop today and talked enquired about some stuff and talked to the owner, he said that there was evidently a bill passed a while back that stated that you can interchange parts on your car and replace them with aftermarket parts without voiding the warentee as a whole. He said that if they do that, its illigal... they can only void the warentee on the part that you replace. also they need to be able to prove that the problem that you had was caused by aftermarket parts. for example if your headlight goes out and they say that since you put a turbo-back exhaust on your car and your warentee was now voided... its illigal and they are not allowed to do that. makes things a whole lot easier... still not sure what the deal is on chips tho, im sure its the same thing
the only thing is that a chip can 'potentially' destroy anything, because it controls the whole car.
