Could i run j31 software from giac on a gtrs setup from atp?

 

I thought the J31 was only for B6s??

 

j31 is for 00.

I would buy uni's software before i attempted the j31 route for the gtrs.

No. J31 is just a giant torque spike at 3200rpm, IIRC. That works for the teensy k04, but I don't know why you'd cheap out on software if you were getting a BT. Just wait until you can afford everything.

 

im not cheaping out i was asking a question if it would work.

 

the gtrs is considered a bt? I thought that didnt count until you got a t3/t4 or gt30 series....

 

i think urbetter off going standalone, and isn't j31 just the b6 version of the pc16 chip for b5????? so if im right on that, you could run the pc16 file? minus the injectors, whats the software called again? having a rough mornin.

 

no the J31 file is just for the 2000 B5 A4's and the pc-16 is for the 99.5 and down DBC cars

 

Some of you guys shouldnt even be touching software like j31 because your motors wont last long. There is so much misinformation on this site its unbelivable.
