K&N intake
I was looking at the intake from evo but i just noticed on k&n's web site they have an intake for my 97 a4 1.8t for like 100 bucks is it any good i really dont want to spend 300 hundred on an intake. http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=57-0282

Just do a k&n drop in filter....you will be fine.

yeah the stock intake is pretty good if you go open element your risking major heat soakage.

the only prblem with k&n filters are that they filter the bigger stuff good but the little stuff not so good

well if you charge them properly then anything small will get stuck to the oil on the filter surface. if not then you are right.

the only problem is i want an intake mainly so i can hear something coming from under the hood and i dont want to butcher the air box or spend 300 dollars im not looking to race this thing is the K&N intake really gona be hurting that bad from the heat i mean you use your stock heat shield theres really not alot more to the evoms
