OK so i have been searching for the past hour or so with no luck. My car came with a k04 when i bought it, but thats all the guy could tell me bout it (it was his son's car). I called him up and asked him what kind of k04 it was and he said k04-240. but i couldn't find any info on it so i think he might've been mistaken. is there any way i could find out which one is on the car exactly? also he said his son changed the software at the same time. any way to find out which software exactly? last question, im still kinda confused on chips and software and such. a chip is different from the software(ie j31) right?

 

im sure u have a K04-15, the K04-24 is the TT turbo and wont fit on ur car
im sure if u take it to a tuner shop they can find out for u

 

will they do it for free? lol im low on money at the moment

 

Only the k04-15 will bolt up to the stock manifold and cat on your car. He was probably thinking about the horsepower when he said 240. Id be more interested in finding out what chip/software it has.
