K04, reliable ? How long to install it.
well u wouldnt have to have a clutch but it may be hard to launch it will and old stockie on there. Its not a require ment but if ur going to launch it u will def need it. The K04 is very reliabel it is actually used on teh s4 biturbo to replace the bad turbps b/c they are more reliable than the K03 plus u can get some crazy power. U wont be dissapointed.

EDIT: however, you will not be dissapointed in it's reliability.
EDIT AGAIN: Oh, just a thought... Go drive a 225 hp TT. They have a K04. The A4 would make more power though, because you'd have much more agressive tuning. But, it'll give you an idea.
Good post^^^ ko4s dont make power, they make torque, lots of it. Ive seen graphs of over 350ftpd, my 1st and 2nd gear are pretty fast. Although, chris is right, not a drag turbo, best ive seen is 13.6.
13.6 is still a big increase over stock but i see what ur saying if ur going to spend a grnad why not spend 2 and get a GTRS turbo. But those arents so reliable. The pes T28 is the only turbo upgrad ethat makes a good amount of power reliably right? But then with that its nothing amazing.
any audi tuner will be able to swap in a new ko4 in 3.5 - 4 hours. I've had my ko4 for a couple months now and i'm quite pleased with the results. Pulls real hard in 1st and 2nd, but yeah the clutch isn't really much of a match for the new added power. There are other things you'll need/want to upgrade like DV, fpr, hi-flo cat and chip tuning.
