i see that the k24 will bolt up to our exhaust manifold but does it bolt to the d/p. if so what is the hp rating on one of these bad boys...im guessin 400. i think this will be my nest upgrade and a custom tune from upsolute

 

Nope,k24 wont work, Ko4 is the only one that bolts up. Plus, you will more lag them u know what to do with, do u know how big a k24 is?

 

yes its an upgrade for a porsche. like i said its prob 400hp. i have a friend that gets me turbos at cost bc he works for garret. so y wont it work when it has a 3 bolt flange for the exhaust manifold? ya ull prob need a new d/p flange welded on. ud also need custom tuning i already know that part...

 

porche usees bigger liter motors then a 1.8t, its too big, and i still dont think it will bolt up right.

 

so ur saying this turbo is bigger than a gt3071rs turbo or gt2871rs or any of the gt series turbos. if not then hows it too big? im gonna see if i can get my friend to let me borrow one to mach it up from garret and see how it fits some time. i know this is a large turbo but id think it would have better spool characteristics than any gt series turbo just because it seems k series turbos do the best on our engines. im just throwing some ideas out.

 

I know what u mean, If you want to use a bigger turbo, use the k16, dave used it and ran 12s i think.

 

really? what software was he running and how was the spool do u know. that sounds like a badass turbo. so does this one bolt straight to the manifold and d/p or do u need to modify it? also is a k series that has an external wastegate?

 

Its not really cost effective, im pretty sure he paid thousands to have it tuned.Lookl dude, u want a fast car, ur gona have to go custom with dahlback because giac doesnt offer anything, just quit thinking of other turbos and keep what u have and tune it

 

And no it doesnt bolt up, you have to make ur own adapters, alot of work.
